Reterive 2 values back from one input help

Hello All,

I have an input help on my screen and everything works fine. However I have a small issue and would like to modify it. RIght now my inout help is for material Group and get me the correct value. However going forward I also would like to pull the description as well and show it on the screen. and this should be all done when I click the input help button. I am able to do this as well by making the material group as STRING and on the input page i am doing a select query and doing a concatenate and then am passing.

However the problem with this approach is on the main page oninputprocessing the value for the material group is blank.

Any Suggestions.
