Aftter posting the movement type 952, which is a stock write on.. the moving average price shoots upto a very high junk value. I am not able to understand the reason for this.
We then manually chage it using MR21. The problem is that we have to keep a track that this does not happen as it leaded to very high inventory value and figures become mind bogling at times.
Incase any one of you has faced a problem with moving avg price giving absurd values plz let me knw.
thanks
Kanica
Hi Kanika Kohli,
I agree with Mr.Selva. Kindly find more information on this,
i. For standard movement types, this means that the given process is not supported using the 951 or 952 combination.
ii. For customer-defined movement types (beginning with 9, X, Y, or Z), this may mean that they have not been fully defined. Delete the movement type and re-create it by copying a standard movement type.
and try to posting with any other movement type which will increase or decrease the value of the goods. In my client, they defined 952 movement as RE for POS sales.
I hope this helps.
Thanks & Regards
Navahsek

Hi Selva,
Thanks a lot for sharing the info.
Now i have found a solution to my prob and wouls like to share as it may be quite generic.
What happened was that we were purchasing in Unit "EA" and doing returns in unit "PAC" with 1 PAC = 6 EA. Now as it was decimal rounding taking place, there was a point where the stock was 0.002 rather being 0. Now when the stock value was divided by 0.002 a very large value was maintained for MAP.
SAP handeles -ve and Zero stock for MAP, but not if stock is between 0 and 1.
Cheers
Kanica
Hi Kanica,
Movement Type 952 is not a SAP Standard Movement Type and hence we cannot comment on it.
Try to Understand the Process by looking at the accounting Documents Generated for transaction and act accordingly.
