Record Update does not trigger workflow

Hi

I am on 5.5 SP06 HF11

I am having a strange issue with w/f. W/F looks like this:

Start -> Branch -> Syndicate -> Stop

When I start w/f manually, record is syndicated but when I choose Record Update as Trigger action (along with Autolaunch as Immediate) nothing happens!

I checked some posts and saw this was an issue with older versions but has anyone faced this issue with 5.5 SP06 HF11?

Hi Devashish,

Is your problem resolved?

Did you try updating your Records through an Import process by uploading the same import file with updated records in to your MDM repository.

In that case the import file will update your existing records and should trigger the MDM workflows .

As mentioned earlier Manual update in MDM Data Manager will not trigger the MDM workflow through the update trigger action.

The data modification)update_ should have been done in the same input file which u have fed ti import manager or import server.then on after or the file get imported with th updates in data,the workflow gets triggered.

Hi Bharti,

Make sure you are Updating the Records using the Import process and not a manual update in Data manager.

The MDM Workflow trigger action Update will launch the workflow when the existing records are updated through a delta import.

Hi

As Alexander suggested the workflow should work.

One more I would like to know is that do you have any other workflow running apart from this with trigger action as Record Update.

IF yes then this wont work because only one workflow can be triggered by Record Update and Add.

Hi Dev,

What are your settings for Max Records and MaxTime? Even though you set the Auto launch -> Immediate, you have change the settings of Max Records and Max Time. I know this sound strange. Usually I set the Max Records to 1 and Max time to 0 hours.

Silpa,

Max Records setting not necessary since you opted "Record Update"/"Immediate", it should pick up immediately.

anyway will keep you posted as soon as I find something.
