Serial Number is already Locked by User

Hi,

We have ISU Material where Serialization Profile is activated system. We create Serial Number Automatically when we do the MIGO. The System is giving me a error that " Serial Number is already locked by User".

If I enter quantity say for Example 9000 in the quantity field, system is allowing 7000 and 2000 it is throwing me the above error.

I have also unchecked Lock for Internal Assignment of Serial Numbers in SPRO settings of Plant Maintenance Module, which results in increase the acceptance number from 3000 to 7000. But beyond that it is an issue.

Hello,

The programs used in goods movement processes with serial numbers are

designed in way that these serial numbers are locked. Of course the number of serial

numbers that can be handled simultaneously is limited at some point.

I don't know which size of the lock table you are currently using. In

general, 100 MB are a reasonable limit which, however, can be increased

if necessary. To be able to do so you have to change the max value for

the parameter enque/table_size in table TPFYPROPTY. The theoretical

limit of the lock table from a technical point of view is 2 GB by the

R/3 kernel - see also note 552289.

Nevertheless there is a limit how many serial numbers you are able to

handle simultaneously. At a certain number of serial numbers you will

encounter various problems besides enqueue issues when using a dialog

transaction (performance, memory, etc.).
