Printing number and barcode in upside down format

Hi all,

I have a requirement where i have to print a number and its barcode in the inverted (upside down) format in smartforms. Can anyone help me in this issue.

Hi Karthik,

I have tried using the PRINT-CONTROL command.

i created a print control and used control character sequence as '\e&a180P'. But when i take a print out the text is not getting inverted and i am getting a printout with 'a180P' alon witht the text in the label.

Please help me in this issue.

Hi Print controls can be specified in smartform by using command node.

In command node u have an option of specifying the print control directly.

Thanks for the solution.

The problem with upside down format for barcode is solved. Please specify how to get the number also in upside down format.

Barcodes can be easily rotated but problem comes while rotating texts, the solution is highly printer specific.

To print text upside down

U need to use print controls like this

Print-Control Z1

Text that you want to print upside down

Print-Control Z2

In this book entire procedure is explained on how to create custom device type and custom print controls for vertical text printing, in similar way u can print text upside down too

Hi,

There are two types are barcode existing in sap like system barcode and printer barcode. Use Tcode SE73 to create any of those.

If you want to create your own customized barcode then you have to opt system barcode. Here while creating barcode it will ask whether to create new barocde or copy of existing barcode.

However by taking into consideration your requirement, you have to create system bar code.

Goto SE73->System barcode->change-> create new barcode->New barcode technology.

Here you have to mention barcode name and short text. then supported barcode symbology like C39,C128, code93 etc.

After selecting any of the symbology, you have to choose Bar Code Alignment: like normal. inverted, etc. Then specify other barcode parameters like height,width, barcode ratio etc.

Then try to print any text element with this customized barcode as per your requirement.

Like you can print text element with smartform style, here you can include your customized created barcode in character format. While creating charactor format, give name of your customized barcode in standard setting->name.

Then print text element by using smartform style.

Hi Prasad,

goto se73 then enter in change mode for systaen barcodes,

create ur zbarcode type or change the existing with your requirement,

in the barcode details u have an option like ROTATION (90, 180,360..)(if old one)

OR

if u r creating a new one then , u need to define the type of barcode

and option like INVERTED, NORMAL,.....(choose the suitable format)
