CPM - Management Cockpit - Variable/Set Status Question

Guys, i have the following questions regarding the CPM. Hope some of you have the answers. This is my first time doing this.

1) When i run the Web version/GUI version of the CPM-MC, i get the selection screen to choose the time variable and whether or not i would like to set the status. Is there a place where i can say always use the defaults so that the user don't have to select.

2) Is there a way where we can create an iView for the Management Cockpit and take the user directly there on the portal with the hierarchy expanded?

If you want to execute CPM in a browser you do not need to procure EP. The installation WebAS is necessary on a BI Box. The cockpit connects to the ABAP port on the BI engine. In our case it was the default port of 8000.

sorry, i have one question related to mgt cockpit, ours is bi7 with sem6.0. Client wants to execute CPM appilcations in browser. I heard WAS installation be compulsory. what are mandatory components procured from SAP for getting executed in Browser? (Do we need to procure EP, does we need any other skill set i.e creation iviews, assigning iview to page...etc.). I posted in SDN,but couldn't get replies.
