Shopping Cart is not getting converted to PO in sourcing cockpit

Hi,

Our client is on SRM 3.0 and EBP 4.0 and this is Classic scenario. We are facing an issue which is a very rare case. Shopping cart is completely approved and now the status is showing as it is in Purchaser's worklist. When the cart is in Purchaser's worklist, Category manager releases the cart from Sourcing Cockpit and the PO is generated. But in this case, the cart is not getting converted to PO and no error is there in BBP_PD. We have tried several times to release the PO from sourcing cockpit, but it is not getting converted. This is happening for this cart only. We have also done BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER, the status of the shopping cart is showing "Item in Transfer Process" for fraction of second but then again the status is coming back to "Approved".

We have already analyzed the cart and found that PO was already generated for the same product category and same vendor previously for some other carts. But this cart is not getting through.

Could anybody please advise. Appreciate the help.

Hi Aswini,

if you use the report BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER the SC will be transfer again, therefore get the status Approved. There are some reports to analysis this issue, please check the following notes:

729967, 949162, 631513. You can check the Card in RZ20 to see the error message (if exists), here you have the possibility to delete or transfer it again.

How do you create your PO using SC in Sourcing ?

Manually by Purchaser or using automatic generation ?

Thank you very much for your response!!

From the sourcing cockpit, Purchaser (Category Manager) manually relelases shopping cart by searching for the cart, adding to the work area and then clicking on the option "Create Purchase Order".

Whenever the cart is completely approved and the status is "In Purchaser's worklist", the Category Manager follows the above mentioned process to create the PO out of SC.

Hello Aswini,

Using BBP_PD transaction, do you see links at header or item level for your SC with any purchasing document ?

For SC items themselves, is field SOURCE_REL_IND set or not ?

Dear Laurent,

We have already checked this in BBP_PD. The field SOURCE_REL_IND is not set. The Purchaser has not rejected the cart in SOCO and the value of this field is showing as "X".

What about follow-on document for your SC ?

Does it exist or not ?

Hi,

Pl. check txn-SM58 for any errors related to workflow. Run clean_reqreq_up and then check the status of sc in bbp_pd.

Dear Laurent,

No follow-on document is getting generated. The status is still showing as "In Purchaser's worklist". We are trying to release from the sourcing cockpit, but the cart is not getting released. It is happening only for this cart. No error messages are there in BBP_PD.

Hello Aswini,

Your issue sounds very strange...

If it is only for one SC, i advise you to see with SC creator in order to make him delete his SC and to create a new one: it will take less time than to look for a solution.

Dear Laurent,

Yeah, this is a very strange issue and also a rare one. We have already tried this option. User deleted the cart and created a new cart. But still no luck. The new cart is also not getting released from SOCO. User created many carts previously for different product categories, vendors and all carts were through. But for this cart,it is not getting released. If you could have any other idea, you are most welcome.
