Max processing limit or Max records limit reached error

Hello gurus,

We are facing a Crystal Reports error problem which SAPBOE tech support could not resolve.

Here is the error message.

Message box: Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer

u201CA process limit was reached.

Error in File: C\......

Max processing limit or Max records limit reached.u201D

Information: Above error occurs when reports executed from Appworx (batch scheduler app.) which in turn uses Report Commander (a third party tool developed by Arcana Dev) , which invokes PREVIEW option of BOE to execute these .rpt files. When contacted Arcana Dev they are not really helpful, all they say is that they use BOE servers to run reportsu2026so contact SAP BOE support to resolve the issue.

Interestingly this is not happening to all reports, but few (six out of eighty) reports with 20,000 plus records.

The same report works fine when Scheduled or used PREVIEW directly in CMCu2026

Settings of Page Server for Idle connection time increased to 180 minutes, u201CDatabase Records To Read When Previewing Or Refreshing a Reportu201D set to Unlimited records.

Also changed settings for RAS for u201CDatabase Records To Read When Previewing Or Refreshing a Reportu201D set to Unlimited records. (changes made in BOE and corresponding .xml files of BOE)

Environment details:

BOE XIR2 with SP1 (we are stuck with SP1 for a different reason) u2013 JAVA based.

Windows Server 2003

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SP1

Has anyone experienced this kind of error before, what is the solution for this?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
