Regarding Communication Channels

Hi

When i run the scenario for simple FILE to FILE for the first time it worked properly the source file is picking and the target file is creating in the specified directory,after that in ID i made my Adapter status as:INACTIVE for both sende CC and Receiver CC,When i made it ACTIVE ,in RWB under Component monitoring My Communication channels I am facing the following error:

Channel Started but incative with yellow icon.

Dear Pavan..

refresh cache notification in ID

also put a file in source folder and chk ..sometimes it happens that it shows inactive but picks up

Have you refreshed the cache. Refresh the CPA Cache with PIDIRUSER or XIDIRUSER or a user with similar roles. Use this url,

http://<server name>:<HTTP Port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full

In ID MENU->ENVIRONMENT-> Clear SLD Data Cache.

Hi,

ask your basis guys to do a full CPACache refresh using PIDIRUSER......they will know how to do it.....then again put a source file in source directory and check in sender file comm channel, the source filename and source folder are okay.........also in sender file comm chnnel put processing mode as delete............and then see if the source file is getting deleted from source folder.........if still the source file is not getting picked, check the file permissions of the source file.

Hi Pavan,

go to sxi_cache -->XIRuntime Cache -->Start Delta Cache Refresh/Start complete cache refresh.

Hi,

I think it will become green once you test your scenario again. Secondly if it doesn't help then it could be due cache. So refresh the cache and then try.

How to refresh the cache from ID

I have one option from MENU->ENVIRONMENT->Cache Notifications

can i go with this..pls guide me with steps.

Hi Pavan,

Sometimes it happened that doing cache refresh and activating channels also , it shows the same problem.

But nothin to worry about it , if problem still exits then go to Visual administrator ,stop and start the XI_File Service under cluster.

yes i had activated the CC after changing the Adapter Status as ACTIVE
