Variant setting for riequi20 program(ih08)

Hello.

I have problem in using variant for IH08(riequi20 program)

I set variant for IH08 and set is as a default variant from SE93

so it works well when I use IH08 directly.

BUT if I use the same report(IH08-riequi20 program) through "change maintenance order"(IW32)

in object tab, varaint is not applied to the IH08-riequi20 program

Path : iw32 - Object tab - (selection Equipment) Click Equipment button (at the bottom)

- Run riequi20 program - Variant is not applied

any help would be appreciated.

hi young,

chek this ...

if variant is not being applied thru tht path then try SHD0 for tcode iw32 , transaction variant name ziw32 and this takes u to iw32 screen ... here give order no ... and press enter this pops up screen variant of that screen press continue u will go to inside screen ... here also enter some data and press enter this pops up screen variant .... try finally to get into that object list tab and eqpt ih08 screen and set default values or as requiered and save as a local object ...

hi thank you for your help

still im struggling with it

at shd0 screen, I input transaction code and move to screen variant tab

and press create button,

then it moves to iw32 and popup shows up and input some data

and finally reaches to the screen(ih08) and set the variant and save it

then, finally I need to save as local object

but here message bugs me " Test objects cannot be created in foreignnamespaces"

how can I solve it?

hi young ,

have u mentioned the transaction variant with Z .... should be in Z or Y only

i am having problem in my IDES ...

finally when u select local object ... u get $TMP filled in development class

then u click save button ... go back and test it again ...

take the help of your ABAP consultant also ..

I did everything as you said.

I tried like this

1. go to SHD0 and input iw32 for transaction code field

2. input ziw32-b for transaction variant

3. press create button

4. this takes me to iw32 screen

5. give order No.

6. press enter when popup shows - screen variant of that screen / press continue

7. finally reached to object tab and press equipment button

8. ih08 screen pops up

9. change the variant and save it

10. then get out of iw32

11. save as a local object

12. move to se93 / make variant transaction : ziw32_1(transaction : iw32, transaction variant : ziw32-b)

13. run ziw32_1

but still the variant is not being applied if I go through that path

do I need to activate this or..change spro?

the Point is if I use IH08, variant is being applied, but if I use IH08 through iw32(path : iw32-object tab - equipment button click-IH08) then no variant is applied.

probably, when the system call transaction-code IH08, it brings variant, but not when it comes to call report through IW32 .

appologize for delayed response ...

i have checked in IDES and finally it was not working ... reached the screen ih08 thru iw32 but could not get screen variant for this .... i would suggest you to raise an OSS message for this and update if you have found any solution ..as it would be helpful for me ..
