Hi All,
Please help me out in the below scenario.
Business Scenario: In our project, we are creating the functionality to have the Quotation Management system. The user can create the quotation online and offline. For offline functionality an Adobe interactive form needs to be developed. This Interactive form will let the user create the quotation on offline basis and as soon as the user becomes online, the data will be pushed to SAP and the quotation would be created in the R/3 system. I am attaching a sample screen on the fields which would be there in the Adobe form.
Issues: 1. Where do we save the data for offline content (As discussed, a custom table can save the data and push it to R/3 when user comes online. Is there any other better approach)
2. As a pre-requisite to Adobe Interactive form, we need to have WAS. What all components of WAS needs to be activated?
3. Adobe Document Services needs to be deployed on JAVA stack. If yes, then does ECC 6 server has JAVA stack or not.
4. Adobe Life Cycle designed also needs to be installed.
5. Does ECC 6 server has JAVA stack or not?
I hope I am not missing anything on the pre-requisite to have the Adobe Interactive form. Let me know if anything else is missing. Request you to provide your inputs on the same.
Thanks & Regards,
Jayant Vikram
Thanks

Hi,
And you could also check out the NW Ehp1 release notes since there is support for the implementation of the scenario you described (offline framework). If you can use this framework you no longer need to parse XML which saves you a lot of dev effort.
You'll find them on the front page of the IFbA section on SDN

Hi,
To Complete your Business scenerio, you want an ECC 6.0 With ADS Service & Credentials to be installed. For that search in SDN How to install ADS Service.Ask your basis cconsultant to do this activity.
Another thing you want is Adobe Life Cycle designer, that u can get form solution manager, its a patch to your SAP GUI.
To Implement your Scenerio for offline adobe form you want to create 2 programs & 1 Adobe form using "SFP" transaction. Use "SUBMIT BY EMAIL" Active X component as it creates a mail haveing an XML file as an attachement, which contain the data inserted in the adobe form in ur PDF form while designing.
First Program is to download the form to your Inbox or send as a PDF attachement to any of the Email you want.
Second program to upload the XML file which you will get by the Employees, In this program write a code to parse the XML file & then u can easily store it into any of the SAP database table you want.
Hope this will solve your problem.

Gaurav
