Wh Activity Monitor (LL01) & Time Zones??

Hi,

We are experiencing something strange in the Warehouse Activity monitor:

Here is the scenario (In the USA):

There is a 3 hour difference between US EST and US PST time zones

Warehouse is located in time zone PST

Users that work at that warehouse are assigned PST time zone in their User profile

System time zone is EST - (that is where the servers are maintained)

Users all over the country with different time zones create Material Docs & Transfer Requirements for that Warehouse

All settings in Activity monitor are set to 1 second updates

When a user Updates the activity monitor, the screen displays "Last update" date & Time in their local time

Transfer Requirements created by users with EST time zone do not appear in the Activity monitor for a user with PST time zone even after Updating it (Unless someone with access & EST updates the activity monitor)

Here is what I think is happening (Example)

>Scenario when someone on PST updates the monitor:

>

03/03/2009 09:00:00 EST - User with EST creates mat doc & Transfer Requirement

>
03/03/2009 06:01:00 PST - 1 minute later User in PST updates WH Activity Monitor - which displays local time

>
Because the Local time displayed is prior to date/time posted, the Transfer Posting DOES NOT display

>Scenario when someone on EST updates the monitor

>

03/03/2009 09:00:00 EST - User with EST creates mat doc & Transfer Requirement

>
03/03/2009 06:01:00 PST - 1 minute later User in PST updates WH Activity Monitor - which displays local time

>
Because the Local time displayed is prior to date/time posted, the Transfer Requirement DOES NOT display

>
03/03/2009 09:02:00 EST - 1 minute later a user with EST updates the WH Activity Monitor - which displays in local time

>
Because the Transfer Requirement was created prior to the "Last update" date/time, it DOES appear

>
User with PST & EST can now see the Transfer Requirement because the "Last update" date/time was AFTER the Transfer Requirement was created

The problem with the above scenarios is that unless a user in EST updates the monitor, Transfer Requirements may sit for up to 3 hours (Time difference) before they are visible to users in PST.

How can I get the Activity monitor to display in System Time VS Local Time?

Is there another solution to this problem? (Time zone for users cannot change due to other business requirements)

Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Just in case anyone is interested - or if they face the same problem in the future...

I submitted an OSS inquiry to SAP on this topic and they responded stating that the Activity monitor intentionally displays based on the user's local time zone & that material documents also record posting dates in the user's local time zones. Therefore, if the users are in diferent time zones, then the posting change may not appear in the activity monitor until the time zones catch up.

This is standard SAP and cannot be changed.

Alternatevely, we have decided to use LU04 to display open posting changes & create TOs for them - this is not dependent on local time zones.
