Address number disappears upon updating in ADRC

Hi Experts,

Good Day

I would like to seek facts regarding the behavior of address numbers in SAP TABLE ADRC. Could someone help me out in understanding the behavior of address numbers? As i see it, when we update address related fields in BP the old address number disappears and is generated by a new one.

In parallel with the activity above, we use this address numbers in bobj and there are instances that the address number produced after updating is less than the original address number. how does that happen?

Dear Gio,

The address number is assigned to the BP upon the creation of the BP (first save)
Every changes from then on would only modify the address that is already assigned to the BP in standard,
so the address number of the business partner should never change, by only changing address related information for this BP.

You can check the address number of the BP with the $key code.

Please let me know the actions that you are taking which changes the address number for the bp in your system.
