Confirm Receipt - in Document Disribution

Hi All

In Doc Distribution, when I give Confirm receipt option, it asks to give Return Date..

When I distribute the documents, the recipient gets a link to "Confirm Receipt"..

But the originator of the DIR doesn't receive any mail stating the Confirm Receipt of the recipient.. If that is not avaiable, wat is the functionality of "Confirming Receipts"

Can someone explain "Confirm Receipt" function and also about Return Date..???

If you tick on the confirm receipt option, it will prompt you to enter the return date also.

The functionality in confirm receipt is like when you distribute the documents the user gets the document and link to confirm receipt also.

He can confirm the document receipt by email or phone and send the revised document before the return date.

Either one of the receipient or the initiator can do the confirm recipt in the distribution log through cvi9.

If the receipient does the confirmation in distribution log then the workflow disappears from the initiators inbox.

Hi Aby

Enter the distribution order id or the initial order id and the execute. This will lead you to a window where you can see the details of the distributionorder. Then select that and do the confirm receipt. Initially it will be yellow in color after finishing the onfirm receipt it will turn green.

I checked the same.. The indicator is green even the recipient do not Confirm Receipt.. If the Distribution Package arrives to the recipient inbox the indicator in cvi9 is green for the corresponding distribution order.. This is irrespective whether the recipient clicked conform receipt or not..

Thanks for that info.. I have done that settings..Still some more queries..

1) Initiator sends DIR with Confirm Receipt

2) Recipient clicks on "Confirm Receipt" link

3) No change in indicator.. Its still yellow

Do u mean to say the receipiant should go to cvi9 and click on Distribution order, slect the same and click on Confirm Receipt tab??

What I am looking for is when the recipient Clicks on link "Confirm Receipt" in SBWP, the initiator should know it ..

Is that possible.. ??

Hi Aby

The recipient needn't do the confirm receipt in cvi9/distribution log. He can just tell the person who initiated the distribution, or the distribution point, by phone/email and then the concerned person can do the confirm receipt in the distribution log the part order is OK (Distribution completed successfully set as green).

This is the scenario given in

in that distribution log->confirming receipt tab you will find the detail information.
