Not able to do Stock Posting !

hi can any one suggest some ideas on this:

I created a material and when I try to do stock posting system giving me this message : "No stock posting possible for this material"

When I click the error message this is what I can read:

No stock posting possible for this material

Message no. M7097

Diagnosis

The material belongs to a material type whose stocks are not managed on

a quantity basis.

Procedure

Enter a different material or terminate processing.

If required, check the setting of the material type for the plant in the

Customizing system of the material master data.

Go to OMS2, select the material type against which you were trying to post the stock and double click on "Quantity/value updation".

There tick the box for Qty updating and save. Now retry the process

Hi,

Go to transaction OMS2 select your material type and select qunatity/value updation.

Select your Valuation area for your material type and chek quantity update field.

Hi,

Please check whether the material type is marked for quantity & value updtion against your plant in OMS2.
