Automatic updation of safety stock depends on consumption?

Dear Experts,

My client requirement was consumption will get varying Since its FMCG products.

I have tried dynamic safety stock update by using following link.Since its not working,

Initially safety stock is zero after the multiple consumption have ran the MRP with some requirement safety stock is getting updated.

MRP type is PD (standard MRP type)

Just have created coverage profile(001-new) which has assigned to Master data,

Hello

If you have assigned a coverage profile to your material, then the dynamic safety stock is already being considered for your material.

Dear Prasaht, dynamic safety stock will not update safety stock in material master data.

You have two options to handle your business requirement:

1. Base your MRP planning on requirements only, that's what PD MRP type does, and use dynamic safety stock to ensure required range of coverage. Just bear in mind that this approach will not take into account past consumption.
2. Use PD MRP type as you are using right now and use forecasting to calculate safety stock and update it in material master data. That calculation is done based on past consumption.

First, dynamic safety stock is not the functionality to update safety stock in material master data. It's to ensure MRP calculates supply plan to cover future requirements and maintain coverage levels automatically.

Can you explain the process to achieve dynamic safety stock for future production ,Is there any settings to be made?

except the minimum safety stock in master data as you said.
