Hi Experts,
Just out of curiosity, I would like to know what happens to all those Request IDs that come up in the InfoCube (manager) after daily successful dataloads. I have never worked in Production Support so am a bit eager to know.
We have Daily loads into an InfoCube. Does it mean that all those Request IDs will remain like that with about 365 Request IDs per year?
Is there a better way of organizing this to, probably, save space on the disk?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Chandu
Have u ever had look at 'Collapse' tab of Infocube -> Manage...
Here u can compress Request IDs, weekly, monthly basis, depends on volume of data.. When u compress by specifing a Req.ID (say 100) and all data (req.id 1-100) would be compressed based on Dim Ids (like emp ID, Sales order, G/L Account).. and all these Req.IDs comepressed as one request

Hi,
All teh requests will be remains in InfoCube, and by default you can see some requests on;y in InfoCUbe-->Manage, but if you give data range in the bottom of Request tab, then you can see all the request. If you compress the request then you can save some memory and if you don't want to Historical data, then you can archive.
Thanks
