Information tab and Filter box empty in Analysis

Hi guys,

We are experiencing an intermittent issue where sometimes the Information or Analysis tabs are empty despite the crosstab being connected to BW. Sometimes the Filter box is also empty.

It's not always possible to replicate the issue and not every users gets it. It's been fine for over a year but has just started so I suspect an update to Office 365 or Windows?

Has anyone else had this issue? Users are on Analysis 2.4.3

Regards and thanks in advance,

Stephen

Hi Stephen - are you losing a connection? See one of the fixes here https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2402003 - perhaps do a trace on the backend?

No, no loss of connection as we can still filter etc via the context menu... Thanks

Today I was facing the same error, another solution is:

The Office Theme is set to something different than "Colorful" (e.g. Dark Grey, Black). This can be checked via Excel File -> Options -> Office Theme.

Hey AO Gurus,

I am running 2.7.5 64Bit now and have the same issue on a Office 365 64Bit....

I try to set the Optimize for compatibility but this does not help in my case. Does this mean that we have to update onto 1809 now?

Hi Subhash

I found that the issue is due to a Microsoft Office 2016 update that dynamically scales the DPI to adjust for when you move Office apps back and forth between high and low DPI monitors.

"In a few unusual cases however, you may see some odd display behavior with certain third-party add-ins that haven’t been updated to support dynamic scaling."

Thanks to Tammy and yourself for suggestions...

Hi Stephen Hobbs,

whenever you get this, just minimise and maximise and check you can see all the texts

Other work around :

make sure your computer display & scale settings are 100%, check if this helps
