I've done some forum searching to no avail for this. I'd supported this app for years previously without this problem, then called back after 2 years to make one simple textbox change, and viola... the textbox will no longer print on their multi-form printers -- inkjet is fine -- preview shows the field as before.
Is there some kind of "best before" date for CR 8 that has passed? In trying to resolve the issue I find that any textbox I make a change to stops printing. Here are the specs:
CR 8. Windows 2000. VB 6 app driving an Access 2000 MDB and CRW reports. The field I initially changed is within a summary subreport in Section D. I tried moving the subreport to Section C with no improvement. I notice that a date field at the bottom of the report also does not print. The impact printers are a Panasonic and an Epson and both behave the same. The changed (GST number) field simply will no longer print. Saving the report back as a version 7 report does not help. If I save the subreport as a seperate .rpt file and print it, the textbox DOES print. Just not from within the host report. I re-inserted it from the saved .rpt. I re-created the subreport from scratch and found that NONE of the textboxes which I changed after the wizard would print. I went back to an earlier version of the report and made all necessary changes to bring it up to date, and it gave the same behaviour. The PC's and environments have remained static from what I can see since I supported them 2 years ago.
What the heck is going on...?
