Can I create a webservice on a server & use it on a different server

Dear SAP gurus

I have a basic question on a webservice. Can a wsdl file created on one server be used easily on a different server with both the servers using different version of SAP.

We have a requirement to integrate our product with SAP using webeservices that I create from some specific BAPIs.

We have two servers one for testing and another for demo.

So we want to first create wsdl from server1 for testing and once we are satisfied that everything is working as expectged, we want to point to the new demo server with MINIMUM changes in our application, instead of creating wsdl on the new server for all the BAPIs in question.

I have noticed a line in the wsdl file that has the info of the SAP server etc., Is it enough to just change this line to direct it to a particular server, or is there anything more than that I have to do.

Your comments or advice will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Ram
