Here is our very simple and not 100% ideal authorisation set up based on the cost centre and profit centre using the hierarchies:
We have 26 business units (HR,IT,FI etc etc). One for each hierarchy node.
So we have 26 Analysis authorization profiles one for each business unit with cost centre and profit centre restricted by hierarchy node. We have the other special characteristics too.
So then we create a role for each and place the analysis authorisation in each role.
So this works providing we that if cost centre and profit centre are in the infoprovidor then we have to make sure they are in the query as input or non input if in infoprovider but not query.
This works fine
The problem we have is not being able to get data for infobojects that use cost centre and profit centre as navigational attributes of. For example in one report we have 0COORDER_RESPCOSTCENTER that uses the same hierarchy.
We made 0COORDER_RESPCOSTCENTER authorization relevant and restricted it exactly as cost centre is but the report executes but no data found.
Does anyone have any ideas of why this isnu2019t working or a good guide for nav atts tat shoudluse the same hierarchy/info object.
