BPM correlation after system rename

We have the following scenario (PO 7.5):

We have a lot of BPM process instances that are waiting for a trigger from the ECC system to continue. We are also in the middle of a technical migration to new hardware. Because of this migration we were forced to rename both the ECC and the PO system.

After the rename however, the correlation of the messages from ECC to the process instances fails. The message is received by PI and successfully delivered to the endpoint, but there processing stops as no correlation is found. Be the instances are there and we are convinced that the conditions for correlation are met. So our assumption is that the rename is causing the correlation to fail.

Does anyone have experience with this sort of scenario?

Thanks and regards,
