Getting short dump while creating marketing plan.

Hi experts,

When I try to create a new Marketing Plan on CRM_MKTPL, I'm getting a short Dump.

When I look on the debugger, I noticed, the program is trying to create a CGPL project/object.....

Can you guys explain wht is CGPL means.

I'm working on CRM-Marketing IDES system, Nothing has been configured on marketing yet.

Please advise me on the configurations I need to do before creating Marketing plan and CGPL.

Which version of SAP CRM you are using, If it is CRM 2007 marketing projects cannot be created from SAP GUI, you need to create marketing projects from WEB UI side.

Yes, I'm using CRM 2007 to create Marketing plan and I got the Dump....

Do we are not allowed to create marketing plans from SAP GUI using CRM_MKTPL t-code?

I tried creating a Marketing plan from WebUI and its working fine there......

Can you explain why we are not allowed to create Marketing Plans from GUI, Do I need to apply any note to fix this issue...

Hi James

As far as I know (Also I have commnuicated on OSS, they informed me in that way) SAP focus on WEB UI and no more support SAP GUI. May be it can be said that SAP GUI has been left for customization activities.

Thus you need to make your test, practice in WEB UIn side.
