QM- UNPLANNED CHARACTERISTICS

Hi friends

When we inspect a material by QP01 - Inspn Plan, is there a possibility of adding newly and inspecting extra MIC's which are not in the Inspection plan ( without going to the QP02 - Change inspn plan). The question arises because there is a entry in the configuration SPRO screen as UNPLANNED CHARACTERISTICS. Is my understanding right.
