problem w/ transport of customization requests

Hi,

A couple of years ago I was part of a system implementation (R/3 4.6+) where my role was restricted to only testing FI/CO modules. After the company completed the implementation I decided to look "behind the curtain" and start to obtain a much deeper knowledge on my own. I recently rented an on-line access to R/3 4.70 and started to perform certain IMG activities (setting up a new company, CoA etc.).

Every time I perform a step, a customizing request is generated which I am able to release but not to transport. As a matter of fact, I don't see the point in transporting the requests because each step I am trying to carry out happens within the same system/client. However due to lack of transportation, my company remains a shell company with no CoA, financial periods etc. Please note that I have no programming experience but only finance and accounting.
