You have to change the target system of Your Local change request to move into Production system.

SE01- Enter the request Number - Display- then double click on request -- Property-- change the name of Target system.

This is the process to change the local request. You have to change the local request and assign the target system then you can release the old request and transport into Production

SE01- Enter the request Number - Display- then double click on request -- Property-- change the name of Target system.

Subhash

Hi,

Your Workbench request in DEV is getting into PRD as customizing request, this was next to impossible.

Workbench: client independent request(usually these technical changes)

Customizing: these are client dependent(these are usually changes developed by functional ppl)

You cannot release local change request, since these request are local to tht system/client and non-transportable. Probably you can try to re-save them and system will ask new request number while saving and you can save it in transportable change request.

You can still create a new request from se01 and then add the objects of your local change request into the newly created request and save and release the request to transport.

But still certain changes are non-transportable and they will be saved as local change request and even if you transport them nothing is going to affect in target system.

For this reason we openup the client to make manual changes.

Please frame your question properly so that we can clarify your doubt.

Regards,

Raju.

Hi Bobby,

Can you clarify some of my doubts.

What is the exact difference between work bench and customizing req?

Is there any chance to change a work bench req to customizing req?

Can you tell me why your DEV customizing req is becoming PRO workbench req?

Hi,

You can create transport of copies of your local change request. All objects of local change request will be copied to transport copy request. Then you can release this new request.

Also check the target system in you TMS, so that in future local change requests will not be created.

Hi,

Go to

SE01 --> Create new request --> choose transport of copies > give appropriate description and target system and save it> choose request and click on include objects --> here it will ask you object list from request --> give your local change request number

this will add all local change request objects in new request. Verify all the objects in new request, and then release the request.

This released request can now be imported in your target system.

Hope this will help you.

Regards,

Sachin Rane.
