Assignment of Class to Vendor automatically

I've got a requirement where any vendor that I create needs to have a class assigned to it during creation. Is this possible ? If it is possible, how can it be done ?

Hi ,

As far as i know there are 2 options:

1. Create a bespoke transaction for creating vendors and make class assignment defalut in the same

2. put a validation in vendor master before saving.

A class can not be assigned to a account group.

I know that we can assign a vendor class during creation of vendor master.

But, I would like to know if there's any way to have a vendor class automatically assigned to an account group (or something) so that when I create a vendor master, the class shows up in the classification screen automatically.

Were you able to find a solution to this? I'm wanting to do the same thing but for customers and materials.

Check it in XK01 -Create Vendor address Select the Environemnt- Classification and enter the class

Hi ,

While creating Vendor MK01(MK02) or XK01(XK02).

Goto Environment view (SAP header Bar) Select Classification there you can maintain the vendor Class.
