Item Category - Config Strategy

Hi folks,

There is a field called "Config. Strategy" in VOV7. What's the use of this field? Can someone explain it to me. Thanks a lot!

Dear Friend,

Config Strategy in VOV7:

The value of this field determines the configuration strategy for the line item. That means it can understand if the correct dependencies are selected or not.

Controls which checks and processing are run automatically or are allowed during configuration.

The configuration strategy is a group concept which can also be used for item categories.

You can set various fine-tune controls for each strategy, for instance whether the system is to run a check for required characteristics or for multiple selections of characteristics.

Could you please give me more details on how to do the config? For example, is it possible to add my own config strategy? and how?

Hi,

it control check and processess that are run automatically or allowed during configuratinon .system takes this value while we configure of material of item category of configuration material.

like.tac=variant configuration
