Hi All,

I tried to send a mail to outlook from workflow by giving the email address in the step mail, but it was not working.

i am getting the workitem in the sap inbox so tried setting the automating forward which we can forward from the sap inbox to outlook.

Searched in SDN , but my issue was not solved..

Could you please help me out with this issue to get the mail from workflow to outlook inbox.

Thanks,

    Hi,

In SCOT the configuration may be done.

    Go to SBWP,

Click new message, give title & Content. then in recipient give the email id.

Then click the send button. And goto t.code SOST , and see you got an entry. If you got an entry, it is fine. Then check is that a vaild email id .

If you not got, the SCOT configuration needs to be done. Kindly inform the Basis team.

    Regards,

    Surjith

    Hello,

I believe you can use SO16, which globally sets autoforwarding to

the user's home address, as maintained in SU01.

But this may not be necessary. You should be able to send emails from workflow. It could be that it's just the connect between SAP and the internet is stopping you, in which case the autoforwarding (above) won't help either.

What happens whn you try to send to an internet address from the workflow? Does it appear in SOST?

    • Hello,

You marked this thread as Answered. If you're still having problems, open another one.

If the mail is getting as far as SOST then you're nearly there. Ask your BASIS guys. If it's a dev system then outgoing mail is often disabled by default.
