Unique issue for STO/Sales Order delivery creation...

Hello All,

We have this unique requirement where we want to restrict the delivery creation to a particular storage location.

Basically we have two storage Location (0001 and WM00) for one of our Plant 0001.

The Sloc 0001 is a regular one and we will be defining WM Sloc as the Warehouse managed SLoc.

Our Process is to confirm Process order and recieve it in SLoc 0001 and then create STO to move it to SLoc WM00(as these are physically away from each other and legally we need delivery note).

So the system allows us to create STO from SLoc 0001 to SLoc WM00.

It also allows us to create delivery to get some documents needed legally.

Also when Sales order is created the system will do ATP and confirm as there is stock in the plant 0001(currently in SLoc0001).

Now what we want is

To restrict the delivery creation for the Sales order for a particual SLoc by allowing the system to create Sales Order based deliveries only for SLoc WM00 and not for SLoc 0001. So Basically we do not want the Sales Order delivery to be created based on the stock in SLoc 0001 but only based on the stock in SLoc WM00.

So is there a way in which we can restrict the delivery creation for Sales order only to the SLoc WM00 and also allow the delivery creation for STO from SLoc 0001 to SLoc WM00 for the same material..

I know Picking location determination might be an option but not sure how can we restrict the same product to not pick from SLoc 0001 for Sales Order and pick it for STO deliveries.

Please let me know of any ideas of Standard feature where we have both a regular SLoc and a WM SLoc for a Plant and works with the above scenario.

Thanks

Hi,

1. Picking Location determination:

Picking location in deliveries can be determined based on plant, shipping point, shipping condition combination. If you set proper picking location determination in connection with all your customer (I mean you define PL determination for all the shipping conditions used in customer mater of your customers) you will always get the WM-managed SLoc as default in your SO-related deliveries - it can be changed only intentionally.

2. You can determine SLoc in sales order using user exit USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMINATION in program MV45AFZB.

If the SLoc is defined in the SO it is not possible to change it in the delivery document.

However, this last solution is not very flexible.

Just my opinion...(you can also ask sales experts in the suitable forum).
