RFC communication & performance issues

Hi,

We need an clarification on rfc performance and its load on the server.

The early watch report gives us the following statistics for the rfc communication:

1. Outgoing/ Incoming function call :

2. Calls

3. Total call time in secs

4. Average call time in ms

5. Bytes sent/ recieved

Can any one explain us how to interpret the above statistics.

How these parameters can be useful to find the bottlenecks in the rfc communications

Regards,

DVRK

    Hai,

You can use ST03N to analyze the statistics of the RFC communication in your system.

    Hi Rama,

It is exactly as it sounds, bearing in mind that an RFC is a Remote Function Call over the network.

Calls being related to remote enabled function modules.

Bytes being related to network transmission.

    Hope this helps your understanding,

    Ash
