Editing the SQL query

Hi

I have created a number of reports which worked well.

Recently our server has been upgraded and the name of the database I use has changed. This has caused some problems connecting to the new database.

I have created a new connection to the database which works on some reports but not on others.

Is there a way of editing the SQL query to change the name of the database in the query or is there a more sophisticated way of ensuring the database name is changed on a wider scale throught all reports?

thanks

Clive

    Hi Clive,

in the standard Crystal Reports Designer this is not possible but you can of course use one of our SDK to code a solution.

If you are intrested in that please visit our [.NET Development - Crystal Reports|SAP Crystal Reports, version for Visual Studio; forum.

This forum is dedicated to topics related to custom application development or deployment with Crystal Reports in .Net. This includes full versions of Crystal Reports as well as those versions of Crystal Reports bundled with Microsoft Visual Studio .Net.

It is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there.

Also, all Crystal Reports .NET Development queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.

    Thanks a lot,

    Falk
