Creating a customer repository for KM content

Hello,

we have SAP NW EP 7.0 (SPS18). My customer want to use KM for document management and versioning in portal.

SAP recommends customer not to use the sap standard repositories in KM to save customer content like for example CM Folder /documents, whcih is correct i thibk...!!

Now my quetsion is where should we create the customer main repository folder on the CM , in this Folder we want to save the customer specific business documents and many sub-folders too,

Should this folder be on the /root Level like /documents for example..? and should it have a special customer name space or not? and do i need to create this Folder on all Portal Systems or only on Prod.-Portal?

Please advice.
