Posting not possible with MB1C

While posting of OPEN STOCK UPDATION with MB1C an error will be appeared as "Posting only possible in periods 1993/03 & 1993/02 in company code 0002".

What is the procedure to solve this problem?

Dear gopinath,

Use MMPV to open the current period or else you can change the posting date in MB1C as some dates

between 01.02.1993 and 31.03.1993,assuming that your period definition is 01,1993 january to 12

december 1993.

i was tried with mmpv. but it's not possible. how can i change the posting period? kindly tell me step by step.

As suggested by Mr. Mangal, in MB1C transaction in the intial screen use posting date as any date in Feb'2003. Or if you are trying in MMPV, you need to close period by period starting from "02" - 2003 year, then "03"-2003 like that you need to do it till 01-2009.

Hi,

First go to MMRV and check what is ur current period. Eg:12 2008

Then go to MMPV - Enter the company code Eg: 1000

Enter th Period : Eg 01 ( After 12th period then the next period is 01)

Enter Fiscal Year : Eg: 2009

click on Execute or F8.

likewise you have to close one by one period ie for each month and each year from 1993 to 2009.

Hi,

Thanks a lot. And i did the change in posting period.

Again i face one problem. ie while posting, an error " Period 02/009 is not open for account type S & G/L 799999( this is for semi fin material ) & S & G/L 399999(this is for raw material).

Kindly tell the procedure to solve this problem.

Go to OMSY transaction and try changing the period to the current one against ur co.code

MMRV to check the current status.

MMPV to close the periods

You have close the periods from 1993 to Jan 2009 then only system will take the current date. Do and back if uhave any problem.

with mmpv i enter the current month and fiscal year. after that i click save, but again one screen was appeared. in that i can't proceed.

once entering today's date and radio button for check and close period,press F8 or execute button.

Do not click on save button.

Looks like no one has worked in your sandbox system(IDES) for long. You need to close the MM posting period till last period using transaction MMPV.

but before doing that, make sure which period should be open for your company code, check with MM guy, if no idea about what is period, in SAP
