MY barcode is printed &wa_Display-matnr&

Hi to all experts

instead of bar code it is getting printed as &wa_display-matnr& what could be the reason for it

Check in Print Preview, if its showing the barcode then you need to check with BASIS for printer compatibility to the barcodes. Otherwise, there is some error with the format assignment.

Thanks for the reply it is showing in the print preview . What could be the error in the format are you talking about the page format , bar code format . What i have done is changed the standard bar code BC_CD39 and used in the smart styles and assigned that character form at to the smartform, Is this the correct way should i create my own barcode format. I have created the page format in spad and assigned to device type . it is printing the main window of smartforms .

it may be due to the reason 'wa_display-matnr' is not a variable or field so better check in the name and go again

Hi,

I think you might be typing it manually. Better not todo like that just drag the feild and place it where ever you need. Press CtrlShiftF4 you will get feild name tab there select the feild matnr drag and drop it .

or Click on Editor the editor will open then click on GOTO menu => click on ChangeEditor => then write

&wa_Display-matnr& there and go back then execute it and check.

If you type it manually the it will display like text i.e &wa_Display-matnr& , if you drag and drop it then it will display the feild in grey.

You check the text element of the Barcode. I hope it is because of format assignment of the text element.

Hi Joan,

now the it is printing as <BC> 215.10.05.200.1(mat no) but in print preview the bar code can be seen.
