Create rework order from confirmation

Hello Experts,

We need to create a rework order from a confirmation of a production order.

I understand that we can create those using trigger points but the rework order created using trigger points does not contain the header material as this order is settled against the original production order itself.

We need to create a rework order with a header material, so that business can track this new order separately.

Also is it possible to customize the standard trigger points?

it's possible to insert a rework operation and it's also possible to create a new order, see documentation under

Hello Sabine,

Thank you for your answer. I am actually aware of the standard functionality of trigger points.

But the issue with trigger points is that it creates a rework order without the header material & the costs are settled against the original order.

But the requirement is to trigger a rework order with the header material so that we do not settle the newly created rework order against the original order & also the rework order takes part in MRP & also influence the capacity constrains.

Hence we require a order with an header material.
