Abort characteristic error in reprot.

Hi ,

The query thorough out of BEX with error

1) : ABORT CHARACTERISTIC 0MAT_PLANT__0CO_AREA is not available in the infocube.

2) ABORT CHARACTERISTIC 0MAT_PLANT__0PROFIT_CTR is not available in the infocube.

But I checked in the info cube ->change for the strucutre and navigational attributes.

These two characteristics are available int he cube .

But the query pop up the above error.

Request your help to solve this problem.

Check if the infocube is active.

Then try to open the query with query designer and check the query, it will lead you to correct the error.

Also check the compounding infoobject mat_plant with rsd1 tcode wether it has those attribs are navigational.

I checked in char 0mat_plant and I can see that controling area and profit center are linked as nav attributed to the compounding obj.

when I try opening query desingner it gave me the error :

Error : The following objects were not found when accessing server.

1) Info objects : 0mat_plant__0co_area

2) Info objects : 0mat_plant__0proft_ctr

Controling area

Profit center

This is exactly your infoprovider does not contain those objects, you might see them in the nav attribs but those should be assigned to a dimension in your infoprovider. Just check this assignment.

The two objects controlling area and profit center are added in the navigational attribute screen as

0MAT_PLANT__0CO_AREA

0MAT_PLANT__0PROFIT_CTR

but the I/O check box is unchecked for these two nav attributes.

These are to be checked correct?

Sure and then they have to be assigned to a dimension.

all the three are assinged to dimension .

PC and CO Area for one dim .

Plant mat for one dim.

SO now the only thing ot check the I/O in the NAv attributes in IC right?
