Connect 2 ECC systems to 1 EWM

Short question (and I am quite sure short answer);

We have to connect 2 ECC Systems to 1 EWM System. Problem is - both ECC Systems have the same Logical System Name (LOGSYS).

Is this possible somehow as I don't see the Option to difference for example in assignment of storage Location (in the Interface)?

    what it says in the system documentation under the point "Logical System":

    Assignments must be unique (that is, one client can only be assigned to one logical system).

    • More than one client must never be assigned to the same logical system.
    • The logical system must be unique across the company. It must not be used by any other system in the ALE network.
      The same applies to pre-production systems and production systems: the pre-production system must be assigned to a different logical system from the production system."

    So I guess the answer is no.

    Hello Michael,

    The main problem for this combination will be that the EWM system cannot know where to send the messages for confirm the execution. The warehosue request (delivery) documents contain the business system that is derived from the logical system when the LE delivery is replicated. For a confirmation the system works its way back from business system to logical system then to the RFC destination. This cannot work. For other documents that require a communication like goods movement w/o warehosue request, the issue is similar.

    So unfortunately this will not work.

    Hi Jürgen and Katrin,

    Exactly what I thougt...hoped that there's something like an ALIAS we can use to get this scenario working.

    Had in mind:

    "I am a warehouse provider and my customers can connect their system to my warehouse. I can't dictate them to name their own system as I need, or?"

    Thanks a lot for your answers
