SMARTFORM Page number on front page

Hi. I am creating a multi page report with varying data, split into sections basically.

What I want to do is output on the front page the page numbers where each part of the report starts.

These numbers can be different depending on how much data is found.

I have got this working, I have put code at the start of each section that outputs the current page to an export parameter, then in my program I output the form once without displaying it just to get the page numbers, then output it for real with the appropriate text on the front page.

This works fine, but it means I have to output every form twice which will slow the runtime down a lot.

Does anyone know a better way of doing this?

I can not use sfsy-page on the front page becuase the further pages have not been output yet, and by the time they are output it is too late to change the text on my cover page.

Regards,

Dave.

Did you try to put your index/toc in a "[late processing window|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/359009]" ?

Hi. Sorry it has taken so long to reply, for some reason I can not get on to SDN at work any more.

How do you set a window as "late"? I have tried setting it as type "last" in the window settings, but that did not seem to work. Is there something I am missing?

Dave.

make ur window as FINAL WINDOW, i.e type of window should be final instead of main or secondary, this way u'll be able to achieve ur requirement.
