Its is not a good practice to change tax code values .

because already some PO made with the tax code . if u change values . existing PO values will get affected .

Always make a new tax code . Any way u can change it from t code : FTXP.

    Dear Raju

    Go to T Code FTXP

    Enter Country as IN

    Enter Tax code as V1

Details of TAx code will appear

When u will click properties u will find description as

Tax code V1-10%ED2%Ecs1%SHcs+4%vat Credit on components ,

Now it is modifyable u can change it to

    V1-8%ED2%Ecs1%SHcs+4%vat Credit on components.

The Above suggestion is only for changing description if you want to make changes in taxes--->

Whereas if u are using TAXINJ Procedure and if u are changing the values of these taxes then the calculation of the Taxes in the earlier PO which has been made before changes in FTXP will be changed to the New tax details that u r mentioning as per V1-8%ED2%Ecs1%SHcs+4%vat Credit on components.

If u r using TAXINN then there is no problem with the description cause in FV11 u will be mentioning the tax percentage and system will calculate the taxes as mentioned in FV11
