Hi BW Gurus,
I need to bring S039 data into BW for valuation stock but I can not create a a generic d/source on this table in RSO2. I understand that this is Information structure and getting data from S031 and S032 tables but I need to only use S039 so I can bring data into BW which is delta enabled.
Can anyone please advise steps or any document that how can I create data source based on table S039.
I will appreciate the help.
Thanks
Valuated stocks are normally extracted with the dataSources 2LIS _03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM.
As for the information structures, we used to build their corresponding dataSources with the transaction LBW0. See here. But AFAIk, they all have been replaced by 2LIS dataSources.

Frederic

Hi Frederic, Thanks. The document looks very helpful, I will go through it.
Table S039 is IS based on table S031 and S032 and SAP already have one report built based on this table, which is not fulfilling users's requirement, if I use this as a my source then it would be easy and less time consuming to extract data into BW plus less headach for data validation.
My experience with BF/UM is not very good though
Thanks for your help.

S039 is a transparent table, hence you can create a generic extractor on the table in RSO2. You have to pay attention at the unit/currency field. But you can find enough info on the community on how to include these fields in a generic extractor...

It is an information structure and I can create generic datasource on this if I create a view based on other tables as well, which I dont want.
The information I find on the community network doesn't clear my confusion that how can I use this IS in LIS datasource.
That was the only reason I posted this question here
Thanks
