Process Integration Installation Problem

Hi Gurus,

While i am doing PI 7.1 installation, during Import ABAP stage its struck for a long time more than 1 day neither giving any error nor going for next steps.Hence I am not able to analyse the problem as there are no errors.

Pls let me know where it could have gone wrong? and how long does a PI installation takes place (generally)?.

We have following hardware and OS on which the installation is happening:

AMD Athlon 64X2 dual core processor 2.51Ghz

4GB RAM

400GB HDD

with windows 2003 Enterprise Edition service pack 2.

Pls suggest the necessary action

Minimum RAM requirement for PI 7.1 is 5GB, and your system only has 4GB available. That could very well cause a problem during your installation.

You are falling short of RAM and that is why the installation process appears to continue for ages. It happened with me for another application where i to was falling short of RAM.
