Support for Windows Server 2008 in Crystal XI R2

Hi,

I saw in the following forum entry that while support for Windows Server 2008 was not in Crystal XI R2 SP5, that it might be considered for SP6. (cr-xi-release-2-sp4-and-microsoft-windows-server-2)

Has there been any progress on this issue? We have a number of customers using our software that bundles the Crystal runtime, and some of these users have started installing Server 2008 only to find that Crystal is no longer supported. This is a major issue for us, so any information on forward plans for supporting this OS would be fantastic and help to provide confidence to our user base.

In the current version, is it both the RDC and actual application itself that is not compatible?

Looking at the .Net option in Server 2008 is an option for us, but is definitely not the preferred option as it will involve a complete rewrite of our reporting drivers and will require significant testing etc leading to larger delays before we can get a supported product into the hands of our customers.

Thanks,

Darren
