DB maintenance

We've just upgraded to BI 7. All looks fine but noticed that there has been significant growth in the DB size for the BIC/B000xxx of the Transfer Structure table. This table keep growing after each load to the Cube.

Is this normal? What action should be taken to correct this? Do we have to schedule some Job to clean up this in the background?

Kindly advice, thank you.

    Hi Iynn,

These are either PSA tables or change log table and eventually grow as you load.

To keep them low, you need to also have deletion variants of PSA and change log scheduled in your process chain.

To know the name of these tables, go to se11 and find out which PSA/change log are they.

      Hi Friend,

You will not be able to reload delta's for which change log has been deleted.

That is why you have to be very careful while selecting the number of days older than which you want to delete the Change log.
