Hi Guru's,
I there a way where we can do the config to calculate the salary based upon the capacity utilization level on IT0008. Ex: I have an employee whose capacity utilization level is 100% for the first 15 days of the month and in the next half of the month it changes to 75% and salary on infotype or in the payroll needs to calculated appropriately as we chamge the Capacity utilization level.
I tried one more option on the salary wagetype in the wagetype characterstics I used the reduction method 2 but still it's not calculating appropriately. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Oops! Sorry I did not pay attention earlier.
Please make sure that in table T77S0, the following entry exist
Group Sem.abbr. Value abbr.
PCOMP BPDF1 X
Please refer to SAP note 510495 and 419899
I hope this will help. Please also look at the feature DFINF
Thanks

Ok, Let's say you have maintained the IT0008 for base salary as 10000 USD per month.
Because of the capacity utilization ( say 50%), does that show 5000 USD on your IT0008?
It would help to resolve your issue, if you can give me with an example with details such as what is maintained in IT0008? what is the base pay amount? what is the capcity utilization level (part-time employee?)
Did the earlier resolution helped you to reduce the base pay amount on IT0008? If so, did it reduce the hourly rates on wagetypes /001 or /002..etc.,
Please let me know, we will fix the problem.
thanks

No when I do the changes what ever you have suggested it's not changing the salary.
Here is the good example
My employee is salaried monthly employee with the salary of 10,000$
on Jan 20th his capacity utilization level has been reduced from 100% to 75% so now I am expecting when I go a head and change the % in IT0007 and IT0008 it's not reducing the salary appropriately to 7500. but my requirement is to change the salary automatically to 7500 when I change the % on IT0007 or IT0008.
Since this did not work I tried to use the reduction facor '2' on the wage type in the wage type characterstics but even this did not work.

Hi Couple of things that you may want to check.
1. Is your base salary amount is calculated by the annual salary you enter in IT0008 or you just enter the
base salary on IT008 and it populates the annual salary?
2. In the table T588M, for the module pool MP0000800 are you using the screen 2010?
3. How are you changing the capacity Utlization level? Are you using the check box "Part-time EE" and then saving it? How are you updating the IT0008? You must copy the IT0008 from the old record.
If you are using an action to change the EE's capcity utlization level, that action group must call IT0008 as well.
Please let me know
Thanks

Hi,
Capacity util. lev only takes effects on working hours, but not basic payment amt.
If you want to evalute basic payment amt according to working percentage, you need to build your own Indirect Valuation Module for basic pay.
See more detail in IMG->Personnel Management->Personnel Administration->Payroll Data->Indirect Valuation->BAdI: Maintain Indirect Valuation Module

Hi there,
it is very easy to configure. you do not need any BAdI or rules to achieve your requirement.
Go to SM30 --> V_T511 --> for the required base pay wagetype, in the field "reduction method" mark the value as '2" and it should automatically reduce the base pay amount according to the capacity utilization.
Hope this helps

Hi,
You define the Employment Pct in IT0007for the particular WSR ( give the start date and End date) and for other WSR (i.e for the rest of days which you want to bill less) define the Employment Pct and check in IT0008.You will get the required Capacity Utilization level and the WT amount will get adjusted.
