Infoobject level security in BI

I need to restrict all BI developers and BI support folks on 0gl_account infoobject in BI, Is there a way to do this using S_RS_IOBJ? This is the only info object we need to apply restricitions.

Please share your thoughts!

Thanks,

KK

Kumar,

I do not have massive amounts of experience in BI but in BW 3.5 I would make the info object Authorisation relevant via transaction RSA1.

I would then use Transaction RSSM to create a new authorisation object with the base of the specific info object. You will then be able to control who can access what data in that object.

If you have organisational differences, then you may wish to consider creating / assigning hierarchies to this as well.

I hope this helps.

Since I cannot change this Authobject as I am using this in lot of other places...so I explained my business team to go with open access for now. Since by knowing G/L account numbers one cannot find the company financial details.
