How can I download / get a WebDynpro deployed in the server?

Hi David,

You can find your deployed webdynpro application from visual admin(adinistrators will be looking into this)But from here you can't download your webdynpro application.

In case you wish to make iview and want to embed your applicvation then choose webdynpro iview and choose from local and select your deployed application.

I suppose downloading an EAR file could be useful if the sources are included in the EAR, so you can check if the sources include recently changes made in the WebDynpro or not.

I know that if I have access to the WebDynpro DC (in my NWDI or in my local system) I can build the EAR and I do not have to download it from anywhere, but this is a different fact because this is not useful if I want to know which "version" of the WebDynpro is actually deployed in the server.

So it seems that the EAR files cannot be downloaded...

Hi David,

What you mean by webdynpro deployed in server , if you meant webdynpro project deployed in server , it will be saved as .ear file in the server , which will be later used in portal to create iview, to get that .ear file you need to contact your basis team and get that file.

Also you can locally save .par file of the webdynpro project and use it in portal by useing par iview.

I built a WebDynpro-type development component and deployed it in the portal directly from the NWDS (as an ear file). Actually, I'm not using it as the content of any iView (and if I did it is not relevant, I think) and I want to know if I can download that EAR file from the portal. What do you mean by contact my basis team?

Hi David,

If you have deployed the webdynpro application then why do you want to download the ear file from the portal? The ear file is there with you in your workspace. The generated ear file is located under you project folder _comp/gen/default/deploy folder.

Can you explain why you want to download the ear file? may be we can come up with some solution.
