Hi,
I want to know which planning strategy to use for the following planning scenario:
1. Independent requirements are created for Material A in plant PLA1
2. There is never any sales order for Material A in PLA1 to customers
3. Instead, Material A is procured from plant PLA1 to PLA2 with stock transport orders and deliveries in plant PLA1. Materials are then sold from plant PLA2 to end customers.
Questions:
1. how do I make the stock transport order (created by PLA2) and/or the delivery for the stock transport order created in PLA1 consume the forecast in PLA1? Is it even possible? Or is it only sales orders (and not STO´s or deliveries) that can consume the independent requirements?
2. Also, which strategy should best fit to my scenario? What I want is a planning strategy that do not create any planned orders for the independent requirements for material A. But it should anyhow drive procurement...is strategy 60 best suited?
3. Can someone explain special procurement type 40 (planning plant)? Is it possible to have the forecasted directed to plant PLA1 (as today) but to have the independent requirements in PLA1 consumed by sales orders in PLA2? Is it achievable with special procurement type 40 or similar?
Regards,
Lars
