Install TREX7.0 on SUSE 10

Hi,

I want to install TREX7.0 on SUSE10, I have some questions about the WEB SERVER.

1. Do I need to install Apache before SAPINST?

2. What will be installed when I select the "INSTALL HTTP" with SAPINST

3. Do I need to configure the HTTP Server?

I can't find entry <http> in the file topology.ini whatever I install Apache in advance or not.

Regards,

Jack

Hello Jack,

You do not need to install the apache before sapinst. Sapinst will do that for you.

The Apache that will be installed is a 1.3 (at least on the TREX 7.0 on Solaris).

There is no need for configuring the Apache afterwards, but if you want to change some settings, you can always adapt the '/usr/sap/SID/TRXnn/<hostname>/Apache/conf/httpd.conf' file.

Kind regards,

Serge
