voyager and xcelsius are available at XIr2 or its available only at XIR3 ( sap integration only)

Voyager is Availaible in XI R2 since SP2

you have to install SP2 to get the voyager

for the Xcelsius its a standalone product which is integrated with the XI R2

there the old version 4.5

for the new versions platform there the Xcelsius 2008

you cant compare voyager and Webi

they are in different categoires

Webi is an Ad-hoc query

Voyager is an OLAP analysis tool.

it depents on who will use what

for managers and high level users, we usually put voyager , which will provide them a fast analysis for their data.

so

normally if i use backend is bw in BO we use voyager instaed of webi?

only advantage is faster data acccess at end user level?

i have seen blogs

be build universe on olap cube or query, then we use webi, then we use query as a webservice then xcelsius?

query as a webservive its new in XIR3?

what is flow for voyager in above case?

Voyager is noramlly a direct access to the OLAP sources,

but it sill has no connection driver to SAP BW,

you should wait for the new product from SAP business objects "Poineer OLAP" which is in rampup now, and it will replace the voyager

in sap i have seen flow query as web service then build xcelsius

normally what is process for other olap sources?

I just wanted to comment that Voyager does support connection to SAP BW Queries via the SAP Integration kit.
